Dense rosette heads with attractive, thin, supple leaves. Salanova Green Butter Lettuce is a type of Bibb Lettuce. Heads have a round base with open leaves. Delicate, buttery flavor.
Great as a whole head or in salad mix. Pair with either a red, core-type oak or red, core-type butter. High resistance to downy mildew and the Nasonovia ribisnigri aphid. Very good bolt tolerance.
Butter lettuce is the most nutritious of the lettuces. The leaves are higher in folate, iron, and potassium than iceberg or leaf lettuces.
